April 17th, 2011. Day +37   3 comments

Things are going pretty well so far at home.  Charlotte is still a pretty happy girl most of the time.  We took a little walk around the house today and the weather seemed nice enough for a walk so Amy took the girls out.  It got windy and cold quickly so the walk was short-lived.  It was nice to get out and see the sunshine a little bit.  Too bad the weather is going to be crappy the rest of the week and the walks may have to wait a little bit.  Charlotte is still eating and drinking very well, so much so that Amy and I are worried that she hasn’t had many bowel movements of any size.  She is starting to look like her dad with a bulging tummy!  We occasionally add a laxative to her list of oral medications (which she is taking like a champ!) so we hope that will make her feel a little better soon.

Tuesday afternoon we go in for another weekly checkup.  We hope there is more talk about decreasing her IV fluids.  Her GHVD rash is still holding steady with the lower dose of steroids so we hope Dr DeSantes is happy with that.  Otherwise, not a whole lot to report.  She is still happy just hanging out on the couch, but until the weather improves, she is just not too thrilled about playing with her toys.  She would much rather go for a walk.  Here’s hoping for sunshine!

  1. You are all truly amazing people. Thoughts and prayers to all of you.

  2. Glad to hear you all are enjoying being with each at home. Everything will fall into place slowly but it will take time.

  3. We are hoping for sunshine here too! Enjoy your quiet time at home for now. You know once the nice weather comes Charlotte’s going to be running her laps around the house again! Can’t wait to see that posted on the blog. 🙂
