April 15th, 2011. Day +35   3 comments

There isn’t a whole lot to say today.  Charlotte is still doing great.  Today marks one week of being at home and it has been pretty sweet.  Charlotte is sleeping very well during the nights and she usually wakes up happy and hungry.  Amy and I aren’t fighting a lot with her with her oral medicines and so far her rash is still looking pretty good, even on the lower dose of steroids.  She is still eating and drinking throughout the day and usually is just pretty content to hang out in the living room watching TV which gives us a chance to put the house back together from the home improvements and hospitalization.

We had the home health nurse come today.  It was a pretty quick trip.  She changed Charlotte’s PICC line dressing and took her vitals, and that was about it.  I hope they all go this smoothly!  We are looking forward to a restful weekend.  Even though we are a full month out of her transplant, there is still a long way to go.  Charlotte already has Graft vs Host Disease of the skin so we need to make sure that this is as serious as it gets.  Day +100 is a huge milestone for Acute GVHD and we are only a third of the way there.
