Charlotte spent most of today with Grandma and Grandpa Wags.  Amy and I actually went home for the first time in over three weeks.  We spent a few hours with Grandma and Grandpa Elske cleaning our house and trying to get it ready for when/if we bring Charlotte home some time soon.

This morning her numbers did take a little downward turn.  It’s nothing to be worried about as the doctors have told us this will happen.  But it does mean we won’t be going home early this week.  We will continue to hope her numbers improve and maybe by the end of this week, or the beginning of next week, we could be spending some time at our house instead of the hospital.  Keep your fingers crossed!

Charlotte spent a lot of her time today playing with G&G Wags and walking the halls as she usually does.  She still took a little shorter nap and we are trying to get her settled down again at 8:15pm.  She is still acting very awake and wanting snacks, wanting to play, just not wanting to rest.  We will see how long this lasts (until 9:50pm) and if Mommy or I could outlast her tonight as we are both pretty beat.

Overall it was another good day with Charlotte being active.  The attending physician did say that she is encouraged by her activity level and her numbers are nothing to be concerned about right now.

Here is hoping we have a good week ahead of us.

Enjoy some pictures from Charlotte-cam!

  2. Great pictures Charlotte! Way to capture life from your perspective! Gotta love the one ‘catching’ Gma Wags on the telephone, probably talking to Mommy 😉 So happy to hear you’re playing and eating so well! Brave Mommy and Daddy for going home for a little while to prepare the house! Can’t wait to hear how today went for you!!

  3. Glad to hear you guys got to go home for a bit. I’m sure it was hard leaving Charlotte. Any help you need, just say the word.
